National Technical Lead - Immediate Start
National Technical Lead – Build Capability. Drive Performance. Shape the Network.
At Poolwerx, we’re not just in the pool business—we’re in the business of building high-performing franchise networks.
As we scale across Australia and globally, we’re looking for a National Technical Trainer who can lift capability, drive consistency, and translate technical expertise into real commercial outcomes across our network.
This role is about impact—not theory.
Why this role matters
Our Franchise Partners are on the front line—servicing customers, growing revenue, and representing our brand every day.
Your role is to ensure they:
Deliver consistently high-quality technical service
Win and execute profitable commercial work
Build capable, scalable teams
This is not a desk-based training role.
This is a field-first, high-impact role at the centre of our network.

Design and lead a national technical capability strategy across commercial and residential services
Build clear, scalable learning pathways—from entry-level technicians to advanced capability
Coach and support Franchise Partners with:
Technical problem solving
Commercial quoting and tendering
Service efficiency and best practice
Partner with suppliers and internal teams to introduce and embed new products and services
Act as a trusted advisor across the network—on-site, online, and in training environments
Translate technical knowledge into real business outcomes (productivity, margin, growth)
What you bring
We’re open to candidates from adjacent industries where strong technical, operational and field-based experience is critical.
You may come from:
Pool and Spa
Facilities management
HVAC / mechanical services
Plumbing or electrical trades
Water treatment or utilities
Fire & safety systems
Multi-site or franchise service environments
What matters most is your ability to apply technical expertise to lift performance at scale.
You bring:
Strong experience in a field-based technical or trade environment
Proven ability to train, coach, and uplift capability across teams or networks
Commercial understanding, including exposure to quoting, tendering, or service-based revenue models
Confidence working across multiple sites, stakeholders, or franchise networks
A solid grounding in safety, compliance, and operational standards
Qualifications (flexible)
Trade qualification or technical certification (preferred)
Training or coaching certification (e.g. Cert IV TAE) or equivalent experience
Pool & Spa qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
Who you are
You build trust quickly—people listen when you speak
You’re as comfortable in the field as you are facilitating a group
You think commercially—not just technically
You take ownership—you see gaps and act
You’re motivated by lifting others and driving real impact
What’s in it for you
Be part of a high-growth, global franchise brand
Work directly with Franchise Partners and senior leaders
Shape how capability is built across an entire network
Real autonomy and the ability to see your impact in the field
