More than just a Job
This is a pivotal and highly autonomous role within our Franchise Development Department , reporting to the Chief Franchise Development Officer. We are seeking a driven and results-focused Franchise Acquisitions Manager to generate the pipeline/funnel of Independent Pool business acquisition opportunities, and drive these business transactions through to settlement between buyer and seller.
You will also support the Franchise Development (FD) team through the recruitment process for both acquisitions and other candidates, in line with the business plan and company sales objectives.
You will be the key driver of network growth, executing our acquisitions strategy from initial lead generation through to final settlement and handover.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
You'll be the driving force behind strategic network growth and development. Here's what you'll achieve:
Sales & Financial Targets: Ensure the achievement of sales targets and expenditure budgets.
Acquisition Sourcing: Identify potential independent pool store sellers and facilitate the collection of financial data for review.
Deal Execution: Follow through to a successful sale, any potential independent business acquisitions. Collaboratively work with the FD team and wider business to identify ways to secure a transaction.
Franchise Partner Collaboration: Work with Regional Operations Managers and Franchise Partners who have identified a willingness to purchase an acquisition.
Development & Compliance: Develop business plans with potential partners , maximise sales and expansion opportunities , and ensure protection of the brand through compliance with the legal agreement and trading terms and conditions.
Process & Reporting: Maintain relevant candidate, funnel, pipeline, and sales data using Poolwerx necessary tools. Develop and adhere to a defined Franchise sales process , and ensure accurate and timely Franchise Development management reporting.
Relationship Management: Manage relationships with existing franchisees in New Zealand & Australia.
Prerequisites & What You'll Bring
We are looking for a highly accomplished and self-motivated professional who can deliver measurable results in a high-stakes environment.
Acquisitions Experience: Minimum of 5 years of franchise sales or business sales experience.
Industry Knowledge (Preferred): 5 years of pool industry experience across Independent Pool Businesses is preferred.
Sales Performance: Proven ability to achieve sales targets and proven experience generating leads through multiple marketing methods, including cold calling and trade expos.
Commercial Skills: Sound commercial and sales management skills, including budget and P/L management.
Core Skills: Strong planning and implementation skills, and the ability to collaborate, negotiate, and influence across multiple levels and teams.
Professionalism: Highly professional, personal presentation and behaviour, and a strong customer focus with a demonstrated capacity to consistently deliver a high level of service and maintain confidentiality in relationships.
Technical: Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills and experience managing and updating a CRM.
