Free swim lessons to save little lives

A private Geelong swimming centre will open its doors to kids under five for free this month in a bid to save young lives. Geelong Aquatic Centre in Newtown is offering free swimming lessons for children under the age of five.

The free lessons will run from Monday as part of Learn to Swim Week.

46 children under the age of four have died from drowning in Australia in the last two years. Almost half of those fatalities were in swimming pools, and 81 percent involved accidental falls into water.
