POOLWERX’S TIPS FOR A HEALTHY POOL THIS AUSTRALIA DAY:

  • Balance the water:
Make sure you collect the sample from about an arm’s length under the water surface, away from any return outlets and skimmer boxes. Poolwerx supply water testing bottles to make it easy. If you don’t already have a PoolEnsure water is balanced and fit for swimming by maintaining healthy pH and Chlorine levels. Chlorine levels should remain at 2-3 Parts Per Minute (PPM) and pH levels should be between 7.2 and 7.6.
  • Ensure good filtration:
Vacuum and skim the pool frequently and clean filters and the basket regularly to ensure maximum filtration efficiency. Check that you are running your filter for a sufficient amount of time each day – the time required will depend on the size of your pool, the horsepower of your pump and the frequency of pool use.
  • Think before you dip:
Keep dogs out of pools and encourage swimmers to wash off before they enter the pool.
  • Keep your pool area safe:
Ensure pool fencing, self-closing gates and lockable latches are working properly, have a compliant CPR chart displayed within your pool area and ensure there are no objects surrounding the pool a child could use to climb and gain entry in to the pool area.
  • Don’t drink and swim:
Don’t ever swim while intoxicated and avoid bringing glass products into the pool area.
